The Calendar It is December 31st and tomorrow is the start of a new year, 2021.
BUT, we forget that 2020 or 2021 or another numerical figure we put on the passing days are made by man. What if we did not have a 2021 calendar? How would we measure time? By the moon? by the sun? The passage of the sun has been measured since time began and even today, the entry of the sun through the light box at Newgrange, Co. Meath, Ireland, on December 21st is a newsworthy occasion. This hereld of a longer day and shorter day is a cause of celebration, hence we have Christmas.

AuthorFor many years now, I have worked as a medical herbalist (Western tradition) in a general practitioner, primary care, clinic in Ireland. My approach to patient care has evolved to include the use of the therapeutic modalities present in Irish indigenous/folk medicine and culture and the prescribing of medicinal herbs alongside a biomedical understanding of diagnostics and pathology.
